Isumi City
Isumi city was established on December 5, 2005, amalgamated by four towns, Isumi-gun, Isumi-cho, Ohara-cho, and Misaki-cho. The northern parts of he old Ohara-cho and the Isumi-cho, fameous for producing pears, still bears the name “Cape” Isumi City.
Isumi city is a garden city with a mild climate and fertile land. It is ideal for farming, making it rich in produce throughout the year. Historical buildings and Shinto shrines surrounded by nature is one of the charms of Isumi city.
In the center of the city, a shopping center with a large appliance store and an electronics store lies along the line of the 128th national road.
