Shirako City
Shirako city was amalgamated by 14 villages in 1889, three mountain villages, Seki, Minami-sirokame, Sirogata, starts. Afterwards, Shirogata enforced the town organization, amalgamated by these one town two villages on the February 11, 1955, took the name of the Shirako shrine, and Shirako city was born.
One of the industries in Shirako Town is sightseeing. Shirako Town is known as healthy resort town. It is a town that is famous on a nationwide scale, and can variously enjoy it throughout the year as a hot spring to say nothing of the sea bathing in summer and a town of tennis.
Another industry is a protected horticulture using the mild weather. A lot of farm products such as the tomatoes and cut flowers including [tagaya] spring onion aquatically "Long pestle [gi]" and [tagaya] lettuce aquatically "Greens that eat" are shipped to the metropolitan area various places through year.
Moreover, milt is a town enclosed by the flower. And, it was a helianthus that many of townsmen had enumerated the image of the milt town in the [shitaroiu] questionnaire in the flower. It is a fit flower in the town and the milt that is bright, large-hearted, and loved of whom.
