Ichinomiya-Cho
Ichinomiya is located 140°22" east during 35°21" north at the south end of the Kujukuri beach where the arc is drawn. To the west of Ichinomiya-cho lies a hilly plateau with clement climate and to the west is the sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean.
The gross area of the town is 23.02 square kilometers with fertile rice fields and forests occupying the majority of the area. Ichimiya-Cho is wrapped in overflowing greenery throughout the four seasons.
This historical town, once surrounding a “13,000 goku” castle of Kazusa Ichinomiya, holds the largest glass greenhouse in Japan. To this day, greenhouse cultivation is the key industry of the town.
Surrounded by nature, the ocean and the sun, tourists gather throughout the year making Ichinomiya a popular resort conveniently located 60 minutes from Tokyo station by express train and 90 minutes by rapid.
