Sanbu City
Sanbu City is located in the eastern part of Chiba Prefecture, and 50~70 kilometers from the prefecture capital Chiba City and 10~30 kilometers from Narita international airport. It faces the Pacific Ocean stretching eight kilometers of the sand coast of Kujyuukuri, and the gross area is 146.38 square kilometers.
The composition of the area consists of the Kujukuri coast, a beach attraction and is extremely rich with seafood. Behind the coast extends to a hilly district with a minor plateau of an altitude of 40~50 meters and a vast plain with fertile soil, ideal for agriculture. Along the Naruto and the Hasunuma coast, sand and pine wood cover the area.
Sanbu City is also active in the production of vegetable and fruits along with rice farming, and regional forestry product such as the Japanese cedar. Industrial facilities are on the rise due to the great conditions of the area.
With many outdoor activities that attract the younger generation such as surfing and tennis, many decide to relocate to Sanbu city to enjoy the rich land surrounded by nature. In recent years, traffic access has improved and is developing further to accommodate the growing number of tourists.
